Building Program Highlights: October
2003
Please Note: Much of the Library's main Web site has undergone
an extensive redesign process recently and it is nearly complete.
Most page addresses will change along with content changes. The new
site is expected to launch in mid-October; watch the www.spl.org
front page for announcements.
This "Libraries for All" Web site is not part of the
redesign and will retain its familiar look and content. The address
for this lead page also will remain the same: http://www.spl.org/lfa/index.html |
On Nov. 3, 1998, Seattle voters overwhelmingly approved the $196.4 million
“Libraries for All” bond measure to upgrade The Seattle Public
Library with new facilities, technology, and books. The bond measure,
which can be used only for construction of libraries, will pay for improvements
to all 22 branches, five new branches and the new
central library. The "Libraries for All" Web site includes
detailed information about the entire building program. For information
about individual branch projects, see Neighborhood
Branches .
This page provides current news, meeting dates, project timelines and
other related links.
